Speaker: Lesa Hanlin, EdD., Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives and Corporate Relations, University of Virginia School of Continuing and Professional Studies

Lesa is the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives and Corporate Relations for the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at the University of Virginia, where she is responsible for launching new programs and partnerships and supporting the leadership team. Lesa has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in leadership and is also an experienced facilitator in the areas of leadership, generational differences, coopetition, design thinking and other business topics.

Prior to her work in higher education, Dr. Hanlin was a former secondary school teacher and principal, and small business owner. She holds doctorate and master's degrees in education from The George Washington University, a BA in biology and safety from Marshall University, and is a certified Myers‐Briggs Type Indicator Master Practitioner. In the past Lesa was named the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Small Businessperson of the year and the Denbigh High School and Newport News City High School Teacher of the year. She resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
