The Federal Government has a multi-agency presence at Rivanna Station, located approximately 6 miles North of Charlottesville, VA on the east side of Route 29.  There are periodic construction and service contract opportunities for work at Rivanna Station.  This event is intended to share what those opportunities have been and what type and scope of work might be pending in the near future.  One of the primary objectives of the conference is to provide an overview of a pending IDIQ contract for small  construction and renovations projects.  A description of this and other regional opportunities can be found on the internet @ www.FEDBIZOPS.gov .

8(a) certification is available to businesses that are owned or controlled by socially disadvantaged individuals. This includes people who belong to groups who have suffered from certain prejudices through no fault of their own. 8(a) certification makes it possible for women- and minority-owned businesses to fairly compete in the marketplace and bid on government contracts, ranging from landscaping to catering to IT and more.

The Government has long tried to make it a point to do business with women- and minority-owned businesses. More and more they are seeking out such enterprises in the Greater Charlottesville Community.

Register today to learn all about how becoming 8(a) certified can help your business secure more contracts and grow your bottom line  as well as learn how to become 8(a) certified, or affiliated.
