Presenter: Bill Mawyer, Executive Director, Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority
As the summer temperatures rise in the Albemarle/Charlottesville area, the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority closely monitors rainfall and the water levels in its reservoirs. With a growing business, university and residential community, the summer demand for drinking water can be as high as 12 million gallons per day. This presentation will review Rivanna’s long term strategy to ensure the area maintains an adequate supply of drinking water, as well as the costs and schedule to provide those facilities.
